Checkouts with Amazon Prime. Ship It or Hate It?

Heard the big news of the week?

Amazon just launched “Buy with Prime’. Currently invite-only, the service lets DTC brands offer checkouts with Amazon Prime.

This announcement is already shaking things up for eCommerce (Shopify’s shares took a further 8% hit last week). But is this a gamechanger for sellers?

Here’s what Amazon is promising:

  • Fast, free delivery and hassle-free returns to your shoppers

  • A seamless checkout experience

  • Shopper-and-order-info sharing with sellers

Despite the convenience factor, not everyone is convinced. For one, should you risk handing Amazon your customers? What if they then get targeted with cheaper alternatives to your products?

And in case you missed this one; orders ship in Amazon boxes. Does this mean you lose out on branding?

Check out this thread for more.

What do you think? Would you ship with Amazon?

Fix Your FB Ads in Just 5 Steps

Lower conversions after iOS 14?

If you’re struggling with your ROAS, here’s a 5-STEP GAME PLAN to get your numbers up again.

Written for stores whose average order value is $200 or more, these steps will help other advertisers struggling to optimize their campaigns too.

In brief, the memo is to GO BROAD. 📝 Here's how:

  • Consolidate your individual campaigns

  • Design your creatives for broader audiences

  • Adjust your retargeting to include wider audience segments

  • Test DABA and automated ad solutions

and finally,

  • Leverage on-platform signals using Shops and product tagging

Now, this is seriously good, solid advice. 💯/💯

Quick Note: Remember our discussion with Andrew Foxwell last week? In addition to Facebook Shops and product tagging, we also talked about why product catalogs are about to become a lot more important. Here's a recap in case you missed it!
