META UPDATE: Now Tag Your Static Ads On Instagram

We have some exciting news.

Some of our catalog users are reporting a new feature in Meta.

Meta can now detect and suggest product tags for eligible static ads on Instagram ‘Feed’ and ‘Explore’.

But it only works if you’re running catalogs.

According to Meta, these “suggested tags will appear in Ads Manager if we detect a potential match in your ad creative with items in your catalog.”

This is potentially HUGE. Not only does this make it easier for you to promote your products, it could also mean that Meta will use learnings from your catalog to improve the delivery of your static ads. Amazing, don’t you think?

P.S. All the more reason to run catalog ads if you aren’t already!

Not seeing the announcement in your ad account? Meta will roll out the feature to all accounts running catalog ads in the next few weeks.

Unlock Scale For Your DTC Brand In 2024. Here’s The Plan.

All founders want to grow their brands.

But if you’re a bootstrapped DTC brand looking for YoY growth, you need to plan for it.

Don’t know where to start?

Here’s how @zachmstuck is doing it:

Of course, there will be unknowns, but knowing your numbers from previous years and accounting for some unexpected hurdles will help you establish a baseline.

DON’T MISS: Focus on having 8-12 weeks of inventory at hand at all times, especially for your lead/bestselling products.

Auto-Apply Discounts When Shoppers Click On Your Ad

Do you often have customers dropping off after they’ve reached the checkout page or worse, canceling their orders because they’ve forgotten the discount code?

Here’s a cool hack to avoiding this.

You can generate a shareable link to auto-apply your discount code on your checkout page in Shopify.

All you need to do is to prepare the following URL:

https://{shop_name}.myshopify.com/discount/{discount_code}  — replacing shop_name and discount_code according to your needs.

You can also get this link from the admin panel in Shopify:

Yes, it’s that simple.

Now when a shopper clicks on your ad, they don’t have to remember the discount code or look for it when they checkout.

ICYMI: You can automatically apply discount codes on catalogs you set up in Socioh.

Use the “Apply Discount” feature on the left panel in your catalog settings and users who click on your ad will automatically have the discount applied on their checkout page!

Pretty neat, isn’t it?

Brand: Mate the Label
Category: Apparel
Format: Video (Story & Feed)

WHY IT WORKS:

Mate the Label uses its influencers’ content just right. Not only is the short video engaging and fun, it feels very relatable.

Thanks to the super cozy setting in which the influencer shoots it and her ‘wholesome’ mom energy, their three-piece co-ord set looks as versatile and wearable as they claim it is.

The simple caption emphasizes this wholesomeness with USPs like organic, natural, and non-toxic highlighted.

Finally, the brand knows it’s not for everyone — the free shipping over $150 ensures that only the right audience clicks through.

WHY IT WORKS:

  • The New Year theme with 2 images and a dark, moody background stands out in shoppers’ feeds.

What’s New @Socioh

  • Feature update: Your Socioh catalogs will now include sold-out products automatically. This means that all products in your existing catalogs will now have the most up-to-date design template (unless they’re deleted or archived products), and you won’t have to worry about different designs in your Shops — or editing restocked products. As always though, Meta won’t show sold-out products in your dynamic ads. Win-win!

  • New ads this week — Innvictus, Viceversa, Grainger Canada, and more. Find these ads and tons of inspiration in Socioh’s ad library.

P.S. We update our library with new ads every week.
