Ad Underperforming? Check Your Funnel Before You Kill It

How do you assess a new creative?

And how do you assess whether it’s working?

Whatever your metrics, WAIT.

Look at your funnel health and set benchmarks before you kill any ads.

But what is your funnel and how do you asses it?

Here’s some advice from @drjonathansnow that can help:

P.S. While these are good benchmarks for fast-moving consumer goods, they may be different for certain kinds of products. Your goal should be to identify and improve your metrics month-on-month.

Want To Find Your Next Winning Creative? It’s Easier Than You Think

Want to find a creative that works?

Test.

But don’t just copy other brands — do it in a way that speaks to YOUR customers.

Sounds good, but what do we mean?

Take a look at this tweet by @AshvinMelvani — and don’t forget the example in the response by Ivan:

What a great way to talk to your actual customers, don’t you think?

Now go find your winner!

Replace Plain Product Images With Lifestyle Shots in Your Meta Catalog Ads

Lifestyle images are among the most important creative assets a brand can have.

After all, what could be better than lifestyle images to convey emotion?

And yet, most brands use product images with a plain white background in their product catalog.

That’s because the standard product feed pulls the first image from the product page and displays this in the brand’s dynamic ads. And that sucks, especially when you have great assets you could be using.

P.S. Want to use additional images in your carousel ads via Socioh? We’ve got you covered!

Brand: Cuts
Category: Apparel
Format: Static Image (Feed & Story)

WHY IT WORKS:

Got a promo coming up and don’t have much time to work on your ads?

Copy this static ad by Cuts — just add your offer details onto a shot of your bestselling product, add the product name and cut price, and voila! You have an ad that gets you clicks!

Why? Showcasing your hero products works. It already has product-market fit and tons of social proof, making the journey from click to conversion shorter.

Plus the use of caps in the caption and 30-60% off bold copy help stress urgency — the biggest sale of the year? You’ve got my attention.

PRO TIP: Want to do this with a catalog ad? Advertise a product set with your bestsellers highlighting your offer, product name, and slashed price. See how you can customize your catalog ad creative
